While the Warnath Group’s Jamaica program, funded as part of the U.S. – Jamaica Child Protection Compact, is ending soon, we have not slowed our output of child-friendly spaces where child protection professionals can assist child crime victims.

Joining our six previously established spaces in Jamaica at the Ministry of Justice and law enforcement locations are now four additional spaces. These new spaces are managed by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), and the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s anti-trafficking unit.

The child-friendly space at the Ewarton Ministry of Health and Wellness Child Guidance Clinic was officially launched on November 15.  Read more about it on the US Embassy’s website, read the press coverage, or watch a video about the child-friendly space.

The child-friendly spaces at the CPFSA’s National Children’s Registry and the Glenhope Place of Safety were launched on December 15, 2023. Read the press coverage or view a video about the child-friendly spaces below.

Warnath Group’s final child-friendly space with the Government of Jamaica is at a Jamaica Constabulary Force location in Kingston for use by the anti-trafficking unit and other officers needing to interview child victims and witnesses.  To read more about it, see the U.S. Embassy press release.

These tangible results of the U.S.-Jamaica Child Protection Compact and these spaces for child victims of crime, particularly victims of child exploitation, will continue to have a positive impact for many years after the Warnath Group’s program ends.
