As part of the IACT Program, the Warnath Group is conducting training and technical assistance with professionals from the Ministry of Health in Costa Rica. On October 12, Warnath Group conducted a foundational training in Puntarenas to enhance and build the knowledge and capacity of local Ministry of Health inspectors and environmental agents about trafficking in persons, recognizing indicators of child trafficking, and the steps of victim protection that all inspectors and environmental agents should follow if they identify a possible trafficking victim during the course of their day-to-day work.
The IACT Program is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (J/TIP).
